Deck Extensions are used to allow longer rods to change the rod-stroke ratio. Longer rods reduce rod angle and reduce piston speed that can reduce lateral engine vibrations. This modification is often done to high rpm racing engines to improve durability and power at higher RPMs. 

To get the best results, we recommend using the Tillotson R-Series reinforced blocks.

Warning! This part is not for amateur racers. To Make the deck extension modification, you will need a taller sleeve. We recommend using our ECSL299E for those wanting a 3-inch bore. You will also need a longer rod that is compatible with your crankshaft and piston combination.
