Grade 8 head bolts are the strongest commercial quality bolts with a tensile strength of 150,000 psi. This is usually a big improvement over stock head bolts especially engines bought from tool and hardware stores rather than kart shops.For the best strength we recommend using head studs especially for open classes and other highly modified racing engines.
